for example i heard in illinois you can only put so many miles on them per year
Yes, individual states have differing rules on how many miles you can accumulate a year on a car that is registered with classic/antique/historic vehicle license plates. If you don’t register the car as a classic or antique, you can put as many miles on it as you want.
By the way, classic car insurance policies for those vehicles also have restrictions on how many miles the car can be driven in a month or year. If you buy regular vehicle insurance for an antique car, you can drive as much as you want. But they will only cover the vehicle for the current used car value of the car, which may be less than the car is actually worth based on the fact that it is a classic or collector car.
You can check out the antique car registration policies per state at the following link:
http://search.dmv.org/dmv/antique-car-registration
There are a lot of ads at the top of the page but enter the state in the upper right hand corner search box and when it goes to the next page, scroll down to find links to the info you need.

I think I heard them say something about this but they wont run it at the Glenn and one other track.
Who will be the first Ford driver to win this year in cup. Carl almost (2nd) last week and Kasey second the week before.
The FR9 will be used by most of the teams except road courses and short tracks. Carl is great in Atlanta. If no Ford wins until then, Carl win be the first Ford to win, but someone like Allmendinger might surprise everyone. He runs top 20 almost every week.

I lookin for an older hatchback car like the chevy citation..but i dont know the names of any
Three other cars were built on the Citation platform: Buick Skylark, Olds Omega and Pontiac Phoenix. The Pontiac was the only other one that came as a hatchback. These cars were criticized for being of very poor quality, but I had an ‘81 Citation four-door hatchback, and I thought it was a great car. I had one weird problem with it; sometimes when I used the wipers or turn signals, the cruise control kicked in by itself, so I just unhooked that.
The early J-cars - Cavalier, Firenza, Skyhawk and J2000/Sunbird - were also available as hatchbacks.
Also ‘74 to ‘93 Mustangs and the coolest ones of all - ‘75 to ‘80 Chevy Monza, Pontiac Sunbird, Buick Skyhawk and Olds Starfire. I hate seeing one of these on craigslist, because I want another one so bad and I don’t have the money. Good luck with your hunt.

Cost to own an auto repair shop in California.
Rough estimate w/rent - utilities - advertising - insurance - at least 100,000 per year.

i live in suburbs of chicago and am car shopping, i looked at ford escapes but seem to be out of my price range. so i was wondering how well an actual ford car performs in the snow?
I have the Ford Focus and it handles really well in snow. Like any car, you have to take it easy and go slow, but I’ve had my Focus for three winters now, and I drive on bad country roads in the snow, and I’ve only spun out once. I really like it!

It’s his fault all cars today are crappily made, plastic, and designed to become obsolete. I think its only fitting he’s run over by the beautiful cars that he destroyed, first and foremost should be the Corvair simply because he targeted that one personally.
At $4 a gallon for regular, who drives classic cars any more?
And you have to ask yourself, why is gas $4/gallon?
What’s that you say? Gas ain’t $4! Just wait a while. It will be soon. In the meantime, enjoy the oil that rains down over the breadbasket of the US.

I’m looking for a 1978 Ford Mustang with a working engine… but in an okay condition because i would like to fix it up myself… my maximum budget is $2000 - preferably $1,500 if not a Mustang any Muscle Cars that look similar. I just really need to know an average price and that would help a lot, thanks.
1978 Mustang was hardly a muscle car. Rebadged, reshaped pintos. They did have an anemic 305 option, but it was so choked down by smog equipment that it barely got out of its own way

I love antique cars and trucks. Some I like more than others, but I think most are beautiful and I also enjoy the history of them. Do you have any tips on helping me choose which specific model/year to invest in?
You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.fateback.com

So, being a first time driver, I know very little about cars and car maintenance. I bought a used 1999 Nissan Altima a few days ago and decided to take it to a car wash center. One of the wash options was engine cleaner. Not knowing exactly what this was, I popped the hood and proceeded to spray down my engine with high pressure engine cleaner. Afterwards, I switched to the rinse cycle and blasted away any remaining cleanser. The engine looked significantly cleaner and I was satisfied for the time being. The next day, I noticed that anytime I slowed to a stop, the car would start shaking intensely. Once I got up to a higher speed it stopped shaking as much but still did not run smoothly. Later, the car would often die as I was sitting at a traffic light or pulling in/out of a parking lot. A mechanic who happened to be in the parking lot took a look at the engine and told me that the filter was wet and needed to dry out. I later went and purchased a new filter and refilled the coolant in the car. Roughly 6 hours later the car was still having the same problems and is now having trouble starting. I am looking for any possible diagnosis and possible solution to this problem. I would really appreciate any input you have to offer.
Thanks,
Alex
Water is in your distributor cap. Follow the plug wires from the plugs to the cap, remove the cap and dry out all the moisture inside. Do not mix up the plug wires. You may have to repeat this process if water has entered the distributor. if its just damp or moist once might get you by.
