How was the model t ford different from previous cars in the world?

How was the model t ford different from previous cars in the world?
what made the model t ford better and different from previous cars and its competitors ?

was it diffrent mechanically, its body etc?

They used an assembly line to make them, which meant they were more affordable. There were also more of them available for the same reason. A lot more of them. As in, cars became a regular mode of transportation because of the Model T. Only rich people had a chance to buy cars before, with the Model T middle class folks could buy a car.

So for a lot of people, there weren’t any competitors or previous cars–this was the first one that was available to them!

it was a very simple car, much simpler than other cars of it’s time…this was so it could be assembled by mostly non-skilled workers on the assembly line..and at the same time be less expensive than it’s competitors

Another bg plus was the part interchangeability. When the small manufacturers made cars one-at a time, a lot of the parts were hand modified to fit that car. With Henry Ford’s assembly line, a part on one car would fit on any car on the line. That made them much easier to fix, which brought the cost of ownership down.
