I am a Canadian citizen living in Greece. I am a auto mechanic and would like to move back to Toronto Canada and I would like to know what type of documents do I need to start my own auto repair business?

I think it’s pretty cool, since you know there was only a limited number of those cars that came out in that year/decade, and many of them have long since been destroyed or are sitting in someone’s field or barn. You also have to have some knowledge about those old cars to rebuild them. I like seeing them drive down the road. It’s kind of weird to imagine that back then, ALL cars looked like that.

If you were going to build Antique Cars..how difficult it would be to sell these & who you would sell them to?

You cannot build antique cars as they would then be newly built cars. You can restore antique or old cars back to what they were though but this is very specialised and parts often have to be made specially by the restorer.

im looking for some cars with the same shape as the 1969 Camaro ? any ideas?

Same year Mustang
Also look into the Mercury Cougar
Look into the Plymouth Barracuda and Dodge Dart GT form the same year.

The Dodge Charger of that era was a wider and larger car, so it’s almost a different candidate.
It’s close cousin would be the Ford Galaxie of the same year, as well as the Mercury Park Lane.

A real nice car from this era is the Pontiac Le Mans. It’s a very underrated car, and it has beautiful lines.

It took too much time and money.

My 76 years old grandpa has a Jaguar type E convertible.

He is still trying and says it’s difficult.

His best hobby, grandma say anything about it *+*

chevy and toyota had a joint venture in fremont calif that built toyota cars and a few GM cars.

Where can I learn all about cars and restoring them?

I really want to restore cars as a hobby, but my dad doesn’t know more than basic maintenance and the only people in my family that know about cars are my grandparents who live 2 hours away. Is there any kind of online class or formal class that can teach me? I am still a teen, and I’m going to college in a few years, and I was thinking about possibly doing automotive technology as a major or minor.
Any ideas?
I’m not into books that much, but if there is a certain one or series that you think could help, you can include those.

Start making friends w/ people who do that type of work and learn from them. Paint & body is a little more complicated and there are classes available at most community colleges. Experience and getting your hands dirty are necessities for complete auto restoration. Start reading car magazines and tinkering w/ an old car if you can. Ask questions.

You need to be a very good mechanic, also able to do body work, paint, electrical and interiors. They don’t come in kits, you need to find old cars and restore them. Customers depend on the economy, but you can get about ten thousand dollars for a very good car. But if you take in the time and materials you put into it, you won’t make money. Restoring old cars is a hobby that you have to like doing for its own sake.

i find it silly that people spend months or longer fixing a car that will never be as fast as current cars or as reliable.
and after watching an informing episode of top gear sounds like torture to drive.
