I’m thinking a 2000 Ford taurus wagon with almost 132K on it. There’s something wrong with the lock system, but other than that, it’s fine. If any of you have a Ford around that age and with a lot of miles on it, tell me.

1986 5.0L Thunderbird with 225,000 miles…….retired from service running….destined for the drag strip with it’s new Boss 351 Cleveland. Old Fords never die, they just get hot-rodded.

The service can also find the best price for any auto repair that hasn’t been preformed yet. The service can find you the best price on oil changes, brakes, tires, and etc.

And who’s going to pay for this ‘free’ service? NOTHING in this world is free!

I have an old 1961 Chevy Corvair and it didn’t come with seatbelts Originally installed. Does anyone know the law in Texas about if I have to install seatbelts or if it’s ok?

This is the problem. If you allow a child less then eight years old ride in your car, you must provide seat belts and any other devices required for safe transport.
If all the occupants are over fifteen the car does not have to have seat belts.
Those years between eight and fifteen is something of a gray area.
The problem here is that you might find yourself in a legal dispute no matter what the law says as the result of a injury accident. Being legal would not be much of a defense if your father in-law were to sue you for causing the untimely death of his daughter. With the amount of evidence pointing out the risks of not having safe belts it would be hard to argue that you exercised due prudence, or what ever the legal term is.

If you owned an auto repair shop how much money would you make?

If I owned an auto repair shop, I’d probably make about fifty bucks a year. I’m lousy at auto repair. I can check the oil and change a flat and that’s about it.

On sims 2, i downloaded the Ford cars but i dont see them?

On the Sims 2 website, i clicked on exchange and then objects, and a whole bunch of Ford cars came up so i checked to see if i could download them, and it said it required sims 2 only (which I have). So i installed it on package installer and the box said "download successful!" but when i played the game, it didn’t show up in the cars section?

When you are in the game go into ‘options’ and then find "Enable Custom Content" and click yes. They then should show up in the game.

Are there places other than auto-repair shops that do car inspections?

I ask because it seems like auto shops really have a captive audience when it comes to car inspection. You need to get your car inspected and since they also repair and service automotives, they have a conflict of interest to "get you" in whatever way they can to make some more money off you.

I think the person inspecting shouldn’t be allowed to make any of the repairs… or there should be separate institutions that just do inspections to avoid this sort of thing.

I COMPLETELY AGREEEE!!!! seriously, auto shops say its "mandatory" to get your car fixed by them in order to pass it.

Get it done by a tire place. They dont deal with mechanics so they have no way to fix it. Dunn tire I know does them, so do a lot of other ones. They’ll print out a sheet for you aying what needs attention, what is ok, and what may need attention in the future. the worst a tie place can do is fail inspection, then you’ll have to go back and get it done after you take it home and find out how your going to get the problem fixed
