Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Mitsubishi Galant, Toyota Camery (all made in the USA by the way) are good alternatives.

If you want an AMERICAN MADE sedan anyway

Ford Fusion is made in Mexico and most Chevy’s are made in Canada. Buy one of those imports and watch the dollar fall!

If you don’t care where the car is made, the new Malibu is a decent car.

If your not sure where the car was made, check the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the dash. The first digit of the VIN tells you assembly origin.

1 - USA
2- Canada
3- Mexico
J- Japan
K- Korea
W-Germany
(you get the gist)
References :
The chevy cobalt is kind of a smaller Malibu. Or pontiacs smaller cars are sort of like them
I think the new malibu is gorgeous. chevy really outdid themselves with their vehicles in the last year or two.
