One of my goals in life it to have one of those vintage/antique cars…?

That are really old and gorgeous! I know its kind of odd, but how would I get one? My step mom told me to find one in a junkyard and fix it up, but i don’t know where i would start! What should I do when and If I find one? Would it be easier to buy one?
basically cars from 1940’s-1970’s

just keep an eye out in the newspapers, ask some local gearheads, or stop in the local auto parts store. They’ve always got some kind of info, or can tell you where to start looking. Another great place to start is a swap meet, where car collectors get together to trade parts and vehicles, tools, etc. You can find lots of unfished projects or complete cars, everything is for sale for the right price ;-)

I bought my 1959 Jaguar XK150 DHC at an estate sale.

Actually went looking for antique furniture as there were no cars listed on the auction sheet. Imagine my surprise when this immaculately pristine car was introduced along with boxes and boxes of spare parts. Imagine my bigger surprise when i discovered that no one else there had a clue as to what this car was worth. And that included the widow of the deceased. If there had been any car collectors at this auction I would have expected not to get this car.

As it is I got it for less than a quarter of it’s true value.
